The offenses included statutory rape, indecent acts, sexual harassment, and obstruction of justice. The court sharply criticized his conduct and stated that although the defendant eventually admitted to some of the acts, he "did not express genuine remorse or empathy towards the complainant." It was also determined that the complainant was subjected to a long, intrusive, and humiliating cross-examination on the witness stand. According to the verdict, the defendant served as the homeroom teacher of one of the classes in the girl's grade, and systematically exploited the dependency, authority, and educational power relations to establish a close relationship with her. He committed indecent acts against her, conducted sexual conversations, sent a picture of his genitals, and instructed her to delete messages to obstruct the investigation. The Jerusalem District Prosecutor's Office sought 40 months in prison, emphasizing that the acts were carried out over time while exploiting his status as an educational and authoritative figure. Alongside the prison sentence, a 12-month suspended sentence, financial compensation, and a commitment to refrain from sexual offenses were imposed. Publication of his name was permitted but temporarily stayed.
