Cybersecurity giant Palo Alto Networks has crossed a historic threshold on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, becoming the first company in the history of the local exchange to reach a market cap of one trillion shekels. The company's stock rose by 4.5%, bringing it to this valuation. The value of Palo Alto, the world's largest cybersecurity company, is now roughly seven times that of Teva, which trades in second place with a value of 142 billion shekels, and Bank Leumi in third place with 110 billion shekels. Palo Alto was founded in 2005 by Israeli Nir Zuk, listed on Nasdaq, and joined the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange last February, concurrently with the completion of its acquisition of the Israeli company CyberArk for about $25 billion. Since it began trading in Tel Aviv, 621 billion shekels have been added to its market cap, a 164% increase in just over seven months. The surge comes amid expanding global demand for cybersecurity solutions due to the development of artificial intelligence tools. In the fourth fiscal quarter, the company reported revenues of $3.41 billion, a 34% increase compared to the same quarter last year. Palo Alto CEO Nikesh Arora said that the acceleration of AI-based cyber attacks is forcing clients to build better security systems, and defined the development of AI as a "long-term tailwind." According to Gartner, global spending on AI-related cybersecurity solutions is expected to reach $51.3 billion by 2026, an increase of about 98% compared to 2025. This week, Nvidia launched a platform for securing AI agents, listing Palo Alto as a leading partner.
