Additionally, the deal will include spare parts, software, support equipment, and engineering and logistics services. The deal will be funded by European funds and FMF money from the previous Biden administration. The State Department emphasized that the deal is intended to enhance Ukraine's ability to address current and future threats and is not expected to alter the basic military balance in the region. It was also stated that implementing the deal is not expected to require the deployment of additional U.S. military personnel in Ukraine.
