During the 'HaPatriotim' program on Channel 14, panelist Yotam Zemri sharply attacked Labor Party chairman Yair Golan. Zemri claimed that Golan's goal is to erase Judaism from Israel's public sphere, and compared his party, 'HaDemokratim', to the Arab parties Ra'am and the Joint List. According to him, all three strive for the same goal. Zemri warned that according to the polls, Golan's party is expected to be the second largest in a future left-wing government, which would give him enormous political power to demand and receive any post, including defense minister. He concluded by saying: "Havrei kol ma'alimei haYehudim hitachdu" (all the erasers of the Jews have united). The remarks were made in a political panel on a program identified with the right, and they reflect a resolute ideological stance against Golan and the left.
