He accused the party of encouraging mass draft evasion and appointing cronies, and claimed that the chief rabbis have the "DNA of the Deri family." Hendel set a clear condition for Likud: passing a conscription law for the IDF, otherwise he will not sit with them in the coalition. "If Likud does not pass conscription for the IDF, it's clear I won't sit with them either," he said. He criticized both major political blocs, describing them as "stuck" and not leading anywhere constructive. Hendel emphasized that Netanyahu should go home, but his reference point is conscription for everyone. He proposed a solution: cut the umbilical cord that gives budgets to draft dodgers, and prevent them from receiving government jobs. Hendel called for equality in the burden, and said that Haredim who cannot be combatants should perform national service.
