He warned the Haredi parties against accepting a plan to be promoted by the left, arguing that this would constitute a surrender to 'protection money' that would create a reality difficult to change. Magal compared the situation to other cases that he claims demonstrate selective enforcement and double standards, including the cancellation of elections in Beit Shemesh, the dismissal of Ayala Hasson from the 'Kan 11' broadcasting corporation, and the suspension of Eyal Berkovic.
