Yair Golan: "Netanyahu has no public trust for a campaign against Iran, establish an alternative government quickly"

Yair Golan, chairman of the Democrats, wrote this morning that the likelihood of another campaign against Iran is increasing, and claimed that Netanyahu lacks public trust, moral legitimacy, or basic ability to manage it. Golan called for the establishment of an alternative government as quickly as possible.

Yair Golan, chairman of the Democrats party, wrote this morning (Sunday) that the likelihood of another campaign against Iran is increasing, and claimed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lacks the required public trust to manage such a campaign – not moral legitimacy and not even basic ability. Golan called for the establishment of an alternative government as quickly as possible. In a post published on X, Golan added: "We have reached a state of recurring rounds against Iran. That's how big Netanyahu's failure is." He listed Gadi Eisenkot, Avigdor Lieberman, Naftali Bennett, Yair Lapid, and himself as those who are well acquainted with the security establishment and have experience, ability, and deep familiarity with it, and expressed commitment to act together for Israel's security. Golan added: "Meanwhile, Netanyahu, Israel Katz, and Ben Gvir continue to hold key positions. This is a danger to Israel. This must end." According to him, Israel's security must not be allowed to become a tool in Netanyahu's political survival struggle.
