Yair Golan in a sharp attack on the president: "Bougie and the mouthpieces are already preparing the ground for unity with Netanyahu"

Democratic Party chairman Yair Golan sharply attacked President Isaac Herzog following ynet's exposé on the president's plan to form a unity government between Gadi Eisenkot and Benjamin Netanyahu if no election decision is reached. Golan accused Herzog and "the mouthpieces" of preparing the ground for unity with Netanyahu, and called on the public not to despair and to vote for the Democrats on October 27 to prevent the move.

Democratic Party chairman Yair Golan sharply attacked President Isaac Herzog following ynet's exposé on the president's plan to form a unity government between Gadi Eisenkot and Benjamin Netanyahu if no election decision is reached. Golan said: "Even before we voted, even before the people had their say, Bougie and the mouthpieces are already preparing the ground for 'unity' with Netanyahu." He called on the public not to despair: "They are trying to discourage you. To convince you that everything is lost. That Netanyahu will stay regardless. That is a lie. We can win." Golan warned against a unity government with Netanyahu, whom he described as responsible for October 7, the abandonment of the hostages, corruption, and the tearing apart of the nation. He called for voting for the Democrats on October 27 to block the move. President Herzog denied the report and stated that he is not dealing with the composition of the government at this stage.
