A dramatic development in the investigation into the murder of Nimr Jabarin, 20, from Umm al-Fahm: Qusai Hariri, 18, who was himself wounded by four bullets in the same shooting incident and evacuated to HaEmek Medical Center in Afula, was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the murder. The Hadera Magistrate's Court today (Wednesday) extended his remand by seven days. Police attribute to him offenses of murder after premeditation, shooting, and threats. According to police, Hariri, the nephew of a man police define as the head of a crime organization, threatened Jabarin with murder the day before yesterday, a day before the murder, and the following day was involved in his murder. The hearing was conducted via a WhatsApp call to the hospital, where he was under strict guard. His defense attorneys, lawyers Omar Masrawa and Doron Noy, requested his release and argued that he himself was a victim and denied any possibility that he was involved in a 'red cap' incident. Judge Rania Srouji ruled that there is reasonable suspicion and that his release could disrupt the investigation and endanger a person or the public. The investigation continues.
