The United Torah Judaism party, led by MK Yaakov Asher, has launched a new election campaign ahead of the elections for the 26th Knesset. At the center of the campaign is a catchy song bearing the call "We will cancel all decrees on the world of Torah and yeshiva students." The campaign deals with the issue of drafting yeshiva students into the IDF, against the backdrop of the burning controversy surrounding the status of yeshiva students and the protests held by the Haredim on the matter. The song opens with the words "The holy Torah is humiliated, and asks its Creator," and continues with a call to cancel the decrees. The chorus combines the letters Gimmel and Gimmel, identified with United Torah Judaism, alongside calls such as "Who is for God, to me," "Do not touch my anointed ones," and "On the house, guards united." In the second part of the song, a message of unity within the Haredi public appears: "We are brothers, one Torah is ours." Later, the song's rhythm changes, and its lyrics include an explicit reference to the duty to obey the rabbinic leadership: "For our right to be Haredi, for our duty to listen to the voice of the great ones." The song also includes a call in Yiddish, "Rettevet, rettevet" – meaning "Save, save." The campaign is launched after changes in the composition of the public leadership of United Torah Judaism: MK Yaakov Asher now leads the list, after veteran MKs Moshe Gafni, Uri Maklev, and Israel Eichler announced they would not run in the upcoming elections. Meanwhile, United Torah Judaism and Shas signed a surplus agreement.
