"We don't see a plan to defeat the enemy": Knesset member sounds alarm
Knesset member Amit Halevi stated that Israel lacks a clear plan for a decisive victory over the enemy. He called for a change in the approach to warfare, focusing on destroying the infrastructure that generates terrorism, and advocated for the elimination of the Palestinian Authority with the establishment of full Israeli control over the territory.
Knesset member Amit Halevi stated that Israel has yet to be presented with a clear plan for a decisive victory over the enemy. In an interview with Radio Arutz 7, he emphasized that the current strategy does not address the root causes of terrorism but instead directs resources toward combating immediate threats, ignoring the ideological, educational, and economic structures that shape terrorists. Halevi called on the IDF to transition to systemic countermeasures in the Gaza Strip, Judea, and Samaria. He advocated for the elimination of the Palestinian Authority, calling its armed formations a threat, and proposed dividing the territories into operational zones. Halevi reported that he has not seen a comprehensive plan for capturing territories and demilitarizing the enemy, and has repeatedly raised this issue in the parliamentary committee. He noted that his proposals have already influenced the tactics of one unit, where after switching to a siege instead of advancing into urban areas, casualties ceased.
