Three suspects were arrested on suspicion of breaking into schools and kindergartens in the Lachish area, during which hundreds of tablets used by students were stolen. The arrest was carried out on Highway 6 following information received by the police. In addition, an indictment was filed against four teenagers in a separate burglary case in Bat Yam.

Three suspects, residents of the Bedouin diaspora in the south, were arrested on suspicion of breaking into schools and kindergartens in the Lachish sector. According to the suspicion, the cell was involved in six burglaries at schools in the area, as well as break-ins in Nitzanim, Beit Hanan, Beer Ganim, and Emunim. During the burglaries, hundreds of tablets used by students were stolen. The arrest occurred following new information received by the police over the past weekend, that the suspects were identified as making their way to the Sharon area. In a joint operation by detectives from the Lachish District Police, officers from the Kiryat Malachi station, and Border Police fighters from the south, three suspects were arrested on Highway 6, near Kiryat Malachi. The suspects were transferred for further investigation at the Kiryat Malachi station, and the investigation is ongoing. Meanwhile, a separate burglary case was reported in Bat Yam, where four teenagers aged 15-16 were arrested on suspicion of burglaries, thefts, and vandalism at a school in the city. At the end of their investigation, an indictment and a request for detention until the end of proceedings were filed.
