PM Netanyahu responds to Adams' smear campaign
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the harsh remarks of New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who called him a "war criminal" and "architect of genocide." Netanyahu accused Adams of supporting Hamas and inciting against New York Jews, and clarified that he intends to tell the truth about IDF soldiers and about Adams himself in his UN speech.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded today (Tuesday) to the harsh remarks of New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who earlier called him a "war criminal" and "architect of genocide" ahead of his arrival in New York and his speech at the UN General Assembly. Netanyahu said: "Shame on you, Adams, shame on your support for the terrorist monsters of Hamas who slaughtered our people. Shame on you for supporting incitement to riots against New York Jews." The Prime Minister added: "I am coming to the UN, I am going to tell the truth about our heroic soldiers and I am going to tell the truth about you." Netanyahu's remarks come after Adams intensified his criticism against him in an interview with CNN, where he repeated his claims against the Prime Minister and also referred to the arrest warrants of the International Criminal Court. Adams meanwhile admitted that he does not have the legal authority to actually arrest Netanyahu, contrary to statements he made in the past during his election campaign.
