The National Public Diplomacy Directorate in the Prime Minister's Office launched an extensive hasbara campaign today in the streets of Manhattan, near the UN building, coinciding with the annual convening of the General Assembly. The campaign includes about 500 billboards, dozens of specially rented trucks with digital screens, and a broad digital initiative. The messages focus on the threat posed by the Iranian terror regime and the strategic partnership between Israel and the US in the fight against the "axis of evil." Part of the campaign is directed at the expected anti-Semitic protesters under the slogan "Choose a side," presenting two sides: Israel and the US representing freedom and life, versus Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah representing terror, death, and tyranny. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu departed last night on the "Wing of Zion" aircraft for a 24-hour brief visit to the US, and will deliver a speech at the General Assembly focusing on the Iranian threat, using visual aids to present Iranian capabilities that Israel is monitoring.
