What Israelis think about warnings regarding October 7 – poll

A poll conducted on September 28, 2026, by NEXT DATA under the direction of Shlomo Filber among 573 adult Israelis showed a division of opinions regarding trust in versions of pre-war warnings before the Hamas attack on October 7. 53% of respondents said they trust the official position of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu more, while 46% expressed trust in journalistic investigations. 1% were undecided. Researchers also found that 54% of respondents are convinced of an electoral motive behind prominent reports, 44% believe their goal is a sincere pursuit of truth, and 2% were undecided. Separately, 51% of participants considered that Netanyahu's recent meeting with the UAE leader demonstrates a high level of trust in him from moderate Arab leaders, 34% expressed skepticism, and 15% abstained.
