The Ashkelon Magistrate's Court extended by four days the detention of two residents of Kiryat Malakhi, aged 21 and 41, suspected of attempting to murder a rival from a rival crime organization using an explosive device. According to the suspicion, the two detonated explosives, but the attempt failed and the intended target was not killed. A police representative stated that the suspects are only partially cooperating with investigators. Attorney Bouskila, representing one of the suspects, argued that there is insufficient evidence against his client. Judge Noga Shmouli Mayer ruled that there is reasonable suspicion of committing offenses, including attempted murder as part of a criminal organization, causing an explosion of explosives, and weapons offenses. She extended the detention by four days to allow monitoring of the investigation's progress and ordered a medical examination for one of the suspects.
