Additionally, following the war in Iran, many in the US are developing theses that Israel is not a strategic partner but has taken over American interests. Shain expresses concern that even friends of Israel tell him 'you will think tonight.' He warns that if Trump starts a war because of Israel, he will be left without Congress, the Senate, and MAGA. Shain states that 'the alliance with America has no substitute' and that China cannot be an alternative.
