Police issued an unusual announcement this morning (Friday) about extensive searches in an olive grove near the village of Kafr Qara, following a report received about a suspicious person who may be armed. Police forces, Border Police fighters, and emergency response team volunteers are conducting searches in the area, including through the Israel Police Air Unit. According to the report, the suspect was wearing IDF uniform with a veil. Police stated that "the public is asked to remain vigilant and report any suspicious person to the police and follow official announcements." This is a relatively unusual incident, as aerial searches are not common in such events, and the public announcement indicates a certain level of concern on the part of the police. As of the time of publication, no arrest or location of the suspect has been reported.
