Hendel: Vinter refused surplus agreement in exchange for support in a Zionist coalition

Yoaz Hendel and Yaron Zelicha claim they offered Ofer Vinter a surplus agreement on condition that he commit to a Zionist coalition only, and that Vinter refused. Vinter and his party deny this and call the claim "a delusional and false spin." The deadline for signing surplus agreements passes today at 12:00.

11 days before the 2026 elections, and at 12:00 today (Friday) the deadline for signing surplus agreements will pass. Yoaz Hendel and Yaron Zelicha from the 'Reservists-Economic' party claim they offered Ofer Vinter, chairman of the 'Amcha Yisrael' party, a surplus agreement on condition that he sit only in a Zionist coalition. According to them, Vinter refused. The 'Amcha Yisrael' party strongly denied: "No approach was made to the Reservists party on behalf of Amcha Yisrael. A delusional and false spin of old politics." In response, Vinter's party attacked Hendel and Zelicha, reminding that Hendel formed a government with Mansour Abbas. The article reviews the status of agreements: the Change Bloc is fully signed (Bennett-Liberman, Eisenkot-Golan), the Joint List and Ra'am are signed, Likud and Religious Zionism are signed, and Shas and United Torah Judaism are signed. Yet to sign: Otzma Yehudit, Amcha Yisrael, the Reservists, and Kahol Lavan. The article explains the Bader-Ofer method for distributing surplus votes.
