Israel Police closed three apartments in Jerusalem on Thursday evening that were used for providing sexual services, as part of an operation by the Jerusalem District Investigations Unit and the municipal policing. The administrative orders, signed by Jerusalem District Commander Superintendent Avshalom Peled, prohibit the use of the apartments for a period of 30 days. Several women suspected of providing sexual services were detained at the scene and were transferred for further treatment and support by welfare services. Deputy Chief Yossi Amoyal, head of the interrogation division in the Jerusalem District Investigations Unit, stated that the police are waging a "determined and uncompromising war" against these locations, aiming to eradicate the phenomenon and reach those involved in human trafficking and solicitation for prostitution. The police reminded the public that consuming sexual services constitutes a violation of the law, carrying a financial penalty.
