Israel's UN Ambassador Danny Danon was interviewed on the program "HaYisraelim" on i24NEWS and addressed the US midterm elections taking place today (Tuesday). Danon said that according to polls, President Trump may lose control of the House of Representatives, while the Senate race is very tight. In his view, losing both chambers of Congress would be a significant event for the president, who would be primarily occupied with internal political matters and would struggle to govern. Regarding the escalation with Iran, Danon noted that Trump is creating expectations at campaign rallies, but his political maneuverability could be harmed. He assessed that the Democrats would not want to impeach the president due to fears it would strengthen his deputy, JD Vance, but could bring him to the brink of impeachment.
