UK Home Office data: Jews are 9 times more likely to be victims of hate crimes than Muslims

The UK Home Office has released data showing that Jews in Britain are 9 times more likely to be victims of hate crimes than Muslims. For every 10,000 Jews, 116.5 offenses were recorded, compared to 13.3 among Muslims. Meanwhile, Green Party leader Zack Polanski said he would have voted against adopting a 'Zionism is racism' policy in his party.

The UK Home Office has published data revealing a vast disparity in the rate of hate crimes against Jews compared to Muslims in Britain. According to the data, published in The Telegraph, last year there were 116.5 hate crimes per 10,000 Jews, compared to just 13.3 per 10,000 Muslims. This means Jews are 9 times more likely to be victims of hate crimes. The data comes amid a worrying rise in antisemitism in Britain. About a month ago, a Telegraph investigation revealed a series of severe antisemitic incidents against Jewish patients and staff in the British healthcare system. Meanwhile, Zack Polanski, leader of the Green Party in Britain, said this morning that he would have voted against the proposal approved at the party's conference earlier this week, which defines Zionism as a racist ideology. The proposal passed with 56% support and will become official party policy. Incoming leader Andy Burnham urged the Green Party to cancel the decision.
