Two years after the terror attack at the Be'er Sheva central station, in which Border Police officer Shira Suslik was killed, crime desk head Li Aish published exclusive footage of the arrest of the Negev cell that assisted the terrorist. Indictments were filed against three residents of the Negev: Yahya al-Uqbi, 26, another suspect who was a minor at the time of the attack, and his father. According to the indictments, the three supplied the terrorist with a Glock pistol and ammunition for thousands of shekels, while knowing his hateful ideology and the possibility that he would carry out an attack. The terrorist carried out the attack on October 6, 2024. In the attack, Staff Sergeant Shira Chaya Suslik, 19, a Border Police officer, was killed, and about 20 others were wounded. The three were arrested last month by Border Police undercover officers in the south, directed by the Shin Bet. The investigation revealed a suspicion of weapons trafficking by some of those involved with other parties in the Negev. The three are charged with weapons offenses and providing means for terrorism.
