US President Donald Trump canceled planned weekend campaign rallies in Kansas and Iowa on Thursday, and will instead phone in to events in at least 19 states, including Kansas and Iowa, before Election Day. The canceled in-person rallies were set for Salina, Kansas, on Saturday, and Dubuque, Iowa, on Sunday. Trump told reporters he did not "feel like I have to go to Kansas," where Senator Roger Marshall, a fellow Republican, is in an unexpectedly competitive race with Democratic challenger Adam Hamilton. The Republican National Committee also canceled the Iowa rally, which was to cover several competitive congressional races. Since October 1, Trump has hosted 25 rallies in 19 states. He is still expected to travel to Florida on Friday. MAGA Inc, a campaign funding group aligned with Trump, will host "tele-rallies" with the president in at least 19 states. Trump has noted that his recent series of campaign speeches has been challenging, saying in Mississippi, "God didn't make your vocal cords to do a rally every day."
