Aliza Bloch: "Gantz received no promises in exchange for his withdrawal"
Aliza Bloch clarifies that no political promises were made to Benny Gantz in exchange for his withdrawal from the Knesset race. According to her, the move was intended to advance the idea of a cross-bloc government, and she views raising the idea in public discourse as an achievement.
Aliza Bloch, who was a partner in Benny Gantz's move to withdraw his candidacy for the Knesset, clarifies that no political promises were made in exchange for the withdrawal. According to her, "nothing was promised to Gantz or any of us in exchange for the withdrawal." Bloch also addressed the attempt to advance the idea of a cross-bloc government, emphasizing that despite the political outcome, she believes she succeeded in introducing into public discourse the possibility of forming a government not based on a division into rival camps. She said that in recent months she traveled across the country and met with people from a variety of political positions, encountering those who agreed with the idea but set preconditions. Bloch expressed personal disappointment with the situation but stressed that for her it is a broader public question: whether it is possible to create a political alternative that allows people with different views to sit together.
