Tourist arrives at Kirya gates and announces intention to carry out an attack

An American tourist in his 30s arrived at the gates of the Kirya in Tel Aviv, tried to enter the compound, and stated his intention to carry out an attack. Officers from the Tel Aviv Lev station in the Yarkon district were called to the scene, arrested the suspect, and transferred him for questioning. At this stage, police assess that the individual may be mentally unstable, but the circumstances of the incident are still being investigated. The suspect will later be brought to court, where police will request an extension of his remand.
