A Torah scroll was brought to the community of Tzofim in Samaria in memory of Staff Sergeant Ran Guili, may God avenge his blood, who fell in battle, and in memory of Simcha Berel Belsky, may his memory be blessed. Donated by the Belsky family from the USA. The ceremony was attended by his parents, Tali and Itzik Guili, Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, and residents. His mother said: "I feel as if I am marrying off my son."
A Torah scroll was brought today (Tuesday) to the community of Tzofim in Samaria in memory of Staff Sergeant Ran (Rani) Guili, may God avenge his blood, a Yamam fighter who fell in battle, and in memory of Simcha Berel Belsky, may his memory be blessed. The Torah scroll was donated by Abraham and Sarah Belsky from the United States. The ceremony was attended by Ran's parents, Tali and Itzik Guili, Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, community residents, and guests. Council head Yossi Dagan thanked the donors and said that this was an event connecting commemoration with the continuation of settlement, adding that despite security challenges, settlement continues to grow. Ran's mother, Tali Guili, said emotionally: "I really feel as if I am marrying off my son right now." His father, Itzik, thanked the donors. Sarah Belsky spoke about the meaning of the act for her family. Chairman of the Tzofim community secretariat, Dov Shlomovitz, concluded the event.
