Israeli medical AI company Aidoc's CARE model has been named one of TIME magazine's Best Inventions of 2026 in the Medicine and Health category. The model analyzes medical imaging and clinical text to help doctors identify serious medical conditions at an earlier stage. TIME's selection panel highlighted the technology's ability to detect a wide range of potentially serious findings. When the system detects a potentially urgent finding, it flags the examination so medical teams can prioritize it for review. Aidoc CEO and co-founder Elad Walach said medical AI is approaching a reality where it serves as an additional safeguard in routine diagnoses. Aidoc's AI solutions have FDA clearance and are used across more than 150 healthcare systems in the US and over 1,600 hospitals worldwide. Founded in 2016, the company has raised over $500 million, with its most recent $150 million round led by Goldman Sachs in April 2026.
