Ahead of the consultation round expected to begin on Wednesday with President Isaac Herzog, former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett officially announced this evening (Sunday) that his Yachad faction will recommend to the president that Yashar! chairman Gadi Eisenkot be the candidate to form the government. In a statement issued on Bennett's behalf, it was said: "Former Prime Minister Bennett made clear throughout the election campaign that he would respect the voters' decision, and that is what he is doing.
