Three years since October 7: Ministry of Foreign Affairs to hold ceremony; sister of Yarden Bibas to speak

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold a ceremony tomorrow (Wednesday, October 7, 2026) marking three years since the October 7, 2023 massacre. The event will be led by Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar and will include ambassadors and heads of foreign missions in Israel. A central moment will be dedicated to the Bibas family: a video about the family will be screened, followed by a speech by Ofri Bibas, sister of Yarden Bibas. Also participating will be the Vice President of Paraguay and the US Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism.

One of the central moments will be dedicated to the Bibas family: a video about the family will be screened, followed by a speech by Ofri Bibas, sister of Yarden Bibas. Also participating in the ceremony will be the Vice President of Paraguay, Pedro Alliana, who is visiting Israel, and the US Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, Rabbi Yehuda Kaplan. As part of the event, a photography exhibition documenting the events of October 7 and the period following them will be displayed in the atrium of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ambassadors will receive the photo book "On the Seventh Day" by Ministry of Foreign Affairs photographer Shlomi Amsalem, which documents through photographs and testimonies the events and the stories of the murdered, the fallen, the families of the hostages, and the survivors of the massacre, alongside the recovery journey since then. The event is part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' activities to preserve the memory of October 7 on the international stage and to bring the testimonies and personal stories before representatives of the international community.
