Bar left us without protection on October 7 - former Shin Bet head receives lawsuit

Elkana Federman, former head of security for the Nova festival, filed a personal lawsuit against former Shin Bet head Ronen Bar for 2.5 million shekels. Federman claims that Bar failed to protect festival participants on October 7, 2023, despite numerous warning signals recorded in the system on October 6, and the alerted Tekila group. The plaintiff stated that Bar has not been interrogated in three years, and he intends to pursue an investigation through the court, as he does not trust the state investigation format. Federman called on other victims and families of the deceased to file their own lawsuits. He also noted that he led the Tkuma party, which advocated for an independent investigative commission. In his view, no one has been held accountable for the failures related to the attack in three years.
