A third suspect was arrested early this morning (Tuesday) in central Israel in connection with the foiled attack on Highway 1. Last night, two suspects were arrested near the Latrun junction on suspicion of planning an imminent attack. The arrests were made based on Shin Bet intelligence. The two had not yet armed themselves, and no weapons were seized during the arrests. Following their interrogation, suspicion arose regarding the involvement of an additional suspect, who was arrested in a city in central Israel. Security officials still define the incident as active. The vehicle stopped at Latrun also contained additional illegal residents who were detained, but suspicion of their involvement was ruled out. No casualties among the forces.
