Several vacationers were injured today (Monday) with burns of varying degrees after a gas canister exploded at Tzinbari Beach on the Kinneret, causing a fire. An initial investigation indicates that the vacationers lit a small gas canister, while another canister was placed nearby. At some point, one of the canisters exploded, fire broke out, and several people present were injured. Police forces and MDA teams were called to the scene, provided initial medical treatment, and evacuated the injured to Poriya Hospital. Arik Tal, head of the supervision unit at the Kinneret Cities Association, stated that several similar incidents have occurred during the bathing season and emphasized the need for caution when using gas canisters on hot days and in high temperatures, particularly to avoid placing one canister near another.
