Five Eilat border police officers were arrested on suspicion of assaulting a 38-year-old man from the Hebrew Israelite community and leaving him injured and bleeding on a beach in Eilat. The incident began after two women complained that the man had sexually harassed them on the promenade. The officers approached him, and according to his account, after he was arrested and led to a police vehicle, he was violently attacked. In footage published on Daniel Amram's page two months ago, the man is seen handcuffed and being led by the officers. He said, "I thought I was going to die there." The police initially said that the results of the inquiry did not align with claims of violence by the officers, and that he was released after the purpose of the arrest was achieved. However, today the officers, some of whom were fighters on October 7, were arrested on suspicion of assault.
