Two young women from Ashkelon met on Saturday evening for an outing that included drinking alcohol and using drugs. According to suspicion, during the night one stabbed her friend. The incident occurred after the two drove to the suspect's home, where they met her mother and grandmother and continued drinking. Later they went to a nearby store, met a young man and exchanged phone numbers with him, and returned to the suspect's apartment. The suspect, a 26-year-old with no criminal record, was arrested on suspicion of the stabbing. Her defense attorney, Adv. Rosenthal, claimed that the young man they met attacked the complainant and threatened the suspect. The judge criticized the conditions of the suspect's detention, who remained handcuffed to a chair for long hours, and extended her remand by only three days instead of the seven requested by the police.
