The Ministry of Defense, through the Defense Procurement Administration (MANHAR) in cooperation with the IDF Ground Forces, signed a 15-year contract with Elbit Systems worth approximately NIS 600 million to establish a dedicated facility for training Artillery Corps commanders and soldiers. The facility will serve the corps' main and new fire platforms: the future "Ro'em" cannon (SIGMA) and the "Lahav" rocket launcher array (PULS). The contract includes the development and supply of advanced technological training infrastructure, simulators, training classrooms, instruction services, maintenance, and logistical support. The goal is to significantly shorten qualification and training times, raise professional standards, and save resources. The article notes that Elbit is cooperating with the defense company Anduril in a strategic U.S. Army tender to replace the M-109 howitzer, and that the American name of the system is "Sigma NG." Additionally, Elbit won a $235 million contract to supply Extra-MR rockets and PULS systems to Azerbaijan under a G-to-G agreement.
