The Israeli occupation authorities handed over, on Thursday, the body of the martyr prisoner Marwan Fathi Harzallah, from the Al-Ain camp in the city of Nablus, after detaining it since his martyrdom in Megiddo prison on March 28, 2026. Occupation forces had arrested him in January 2026 on the pretext of "incitement," and prisoner institutions confirmed that his martyrdom resulted from the denial of medical treatment and healthcare inside the prisons. With the handover of Harzallah's body, the occupation continues to hold the bodies of 99 martyr prisoners, including 88 prisoners who have been martyred since the start of the Israeli genocide war on the Gaza Strip. Prisoner institutions held the occupation responsible for continuing to detain the bodies, stressing that this policy deprives families of knowing the fate of their children, bidding them farewell, and burying them with dignity. The institutions called on the international community to pressure the occupation to end this policy and work to hand over all bodies to their families.
