Gideon Markuszower, a Dutch MP, explained in an interview with Ynet his reasons for leaving Geert Wilders' Party for Freedom, criticized the Dutch government for boycotting products from Judea and Samaria, and stated that the future of the Jewish people is in Israel.

Gideon (Gidi) Markuszower, a 48-year-old Dutch MP born in Tel Aviv, gave an interview to Ynet on October 8, 2026. He explained his departure from Geert Wilders' Party for Freedom, where he was the second-in-command, and the founding of a new right-wing party, DNA. Markuszower sharply criticized the Dutch government's decision to boycott Israeli products from Judea and Samaria, calling it antisemitic. He stated that the Netherlands is becoming increasingly anti-Israel, and that even with Wilders' party in the government, the country did not support Israel. Markuszower also revealed that Dutch security services opposed his appointment as deputy prime minister due to his ties with Israel, which he also considers a manifestation of antisemitism.
