Marking three years since the October 7 massacre, the 'Gaza Envelope' Theater will stage next week at the national Habima Theater its flagship play, 'A Place to Live In'. The documentary work, which won the 'Golden Hedgehog' award, is based on testimonies, WhatsApp messages and personal experiences of actors and creators who are residents of the Gaza envelope. Artistic director Amitay Yaish Ben Ouzilio said in an interview that the play was born out of the disaster and brings to the stage the longing for home and the residents' journey from a safe home to a dangerous place and from there to hotels. Ilanit Suissa, a playwright and Kfar Aza resident who has not yet returned home, will host a discussion after the play. She shared that during the first year and a half she did not function, but the theater served as a source of comfort and processing. The play will be staged on October 18 and 19 at Habima, and later at Kibbutz Urim and in Jerusalem.
