"The Jews Did This to France": A Wave of Anti-Semitic Incitement on X

A study by the Campaign Against Antisemitism identified 1,384 posts on X linking the riots in France to Jews and Israel, including claims that the Mossad is behind the events. Meanwhile, a synagogue in Paris was vandalized over the weekend.

A new study by the Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAM) identified 1,384 posts on X linking the riots in France to Jews and Israel. The study, conducted between October 16 and 18, found that influential accounts spread claims that "the Mossad is burning France" and that the riots are "a civil war planned by Jewish elites." Additionally, a synagogue in the 19th arrondissement of Paris was vandalized over the weekend. CAM CEO Sasha Roitman called on French authorities and social media platforms to act against the incitement. This is the fourth time in less than three months that the center has identified a similar pattern.
