The Greens declared war on Zionism - this is the countermeasure Sa'ar took

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar declared the chairman of the British Green Party, Zack Polanski, a persona non grata in Israel, after the party adopted a resolution defining Zionism as "racism" and calling for the establishment of a single Palestinian state. The resolution was passed by a vote of 1,022 to 813 at the party conference. The Foreign Ministry defined the resolution as antisemitic and called on parties in Britain to distance themselves from it.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar declared the chairman of the British Green Party, Zack Polanski, a persona non grata in Israel, in response to a resolution adopted by the party defining Zionism as "racism" and calling for the establishment of a single Palestinian state "in all of historic Palestine." The resolution was passed by a vote of 1,022 to 813 at the party conference. The Foreign Ministry defined the resolution as antisemitic according to the IHRA definition, arguing that it denies the Jewish people's right to self-determination and legitimizes armed struggle against Israel. The Ministry stated that "the Green Party has ceased to function as a political party and has become a terrorist-supporting body." The umbrella organizations of British Jews sent a sharp letter to the party leadership before the vote, and afterward the Movement for Progressive Judaism said the Greens had "turned antisemitism into party policy." Polanski, who has declared himself anti-Zionist, was absent from the vote. Party members rejected amendments intended to protect Jewish members. Outside the hall, the chant "Zionists not welcome here" was heard.
