During the meeting, according to the prosecution, Barburi poured the complainant an alcoholic drink that caused him a strange aftertaste. She reassured him and said it was whiskey with a honey flavor. Shortly afterward, the man began to feel unwell, suffered from hot flashes and dizziness, had difficulty functioning, and after she pressured him to drink another glass, lost consciousness. While he was unconscious, Barburi used his mobile phone to view the secret code of his credit card. She took the card, the complainant's scooter and helmet, and left the apartment. Later, she withdrew 5,000 shekels from his account at an ATM in Tel Aviv, attempted to withdraw additional amounts that were refused, and made a transaction for 470 shekels. Barburi is charged with incapacitating a person by means impairing sobriety, theft, and other offenses.
