She calls it a "modern blood libel" and emphasizes that condemnation statements are not enough. She argues that a lawsuit should be filed even if the chances of victory are not high, because the very act of suing is part of the struggle and sends a message to the creators and festivals that Israel does not accept the accusations as facts. She also calls on the festival to give serious platform to the Israeli response. The column was written against the backdrop of conversations at a New York synagogue on Yom Kippur, where the question arose of how to prevent the film's screening.
