Police seize millions of shekels' worth of drugs in separate West Bank, Jerusalem area raids

Israel Police seized millions of shekels' worth of drugs in two separate raids on drug trafficking centers in the Jerusalem area and Area A of the West Bank. The first raid followed a Palestinian police capture of an Israeli in Bethlehem with pills; a subsequent raid on his home in Segev Shalom yielded over 17,000 Tramadol and 170,000 Captagon tablets valued at over 10 million shekels. The second raid in Moshav Ahisamakh netted cocaine, ecstasy, MDMA, and ketamine valued at approximately 90 million shekels, with three suspects arrested.

Israel Police announced on Tuesday the seizure of millions of shekels' worth of drugs in two separate raids targeting drug trafficking centers in the Jerusalem area and Area A of the West Bank. The first operation began when Palestinian police officers in Bethlehem caught a 48-year-old Israeli man in possession of a large quantity of pills suspected to be drugs, along with other hazardous substances. Israel Police then coordinated with the Palestinian police and raided the suspect's home in the Bedouin town of Segev Shalom. During that raid, the suspect was arrested, his vehicle was seized, and officers recovered over 17,000 Tramadol tablets and over 170,000 Captagon tablets, with a total estimated street value exceeding 10 million shekels. In a separate operation, police raided a drug distribution site in Moshav Ahisamakh in the Jerusalem area, seizing a vehicle containing cocaine, ecstasy, MDMA, and ketamine valued at approximately 90 million shekels. Three suspects, all in their 20s, were arrested for alleged involvement in the drug distribution operation.
