Tehran prepares for escalation: oil infrastructure may be hit — "the information is in our hands"

The CEO of Iran's National Oil Company, Bored, warns that Tehran has information about an intention to strike the country's energy infrastructure. According to him, Iran is preparing for attacks, sanctions, and a naval blockade, but production and exports continue. Bored did not explicitly specify whom he means by the term "the enemy." Bored dismissed reports that the naval blockade and difficulty in exporting oil could lead to overfilling of reservoirs, ruptured pipelines, or explosions at facilities, calling them "unprofessional and non-operational." He noted that the Iranian oil industry has over a hundred years of experience dealing with such situations, and that production is stable, exports continue, and the entire supply chain is under full control. Bored further claimed that in the past two years, Iran has increased oil production by more than 200,000 barrels per day, breaking the production record of the last eight years. In the gas sector, he said, Iran reached production of about 1.1 billion cubic meters per day last winter. However, he called on the Iranian public to reduce energy consumption by 10 to 15 percent, especially given the damage he said was caused to several refineries during the war.
