A resident of Eilat filed an urgent request with the Magistrate's Court in the city against her neighbor, alleging unusual and ongoing harassment. According to the complaint, a prior acquaintance between the two deteriorated into a pattern of harassment that included notes left by the neighbor on the complainant's door and on the doors of other neighbors, describing various acts the complainant allegedly committed against her. The complainant claimed that the neighbor came to her workplace, smeared blood on the outer door handle while filming a video that was uploaded to social media, and alleged that the complainant is an "alien," stole her home, turned her white, set her car on fire, caused her to fall ill with diseases, and that she is a "Raptidain" (a lizard-people character from science fiction books). It was further alleged that the neighbor claimed the complainant photographed her private parts and published them online. The complainant asked the court to prohibit the woman from continuing her actions and to keep her 300 meters away from her home. The judge ruled that the alleged behavior meets the definition of threatening harassment and raises concern for a real harm to the complainant's peace of mind. He issued an ex parte order prohibiting the neighbor from entering the complainant's home, approaching within less than 100 meters of her home or workplace, contacting her in any way, carrying a weapon, threatening her, lying in wait for her, tracking her actions, invading her privacy, or stalking her. The court instructed the secretariat and police to locate the neighbor, deliver the decision to her, and summon her for a hearing in early October.
