CEO Ittai Ben-Zeev is set to benefit significantly: a NIS 3.5 million retention bonus, structured as a loan that converts to a grant at the plan's end, plus NIS 1.5 million in options exercisable in five years at a strike price of NIS 240—nearly 90% above the pre-announcement share price. The plan includes measures such as lengthening trading hours to overlap with international markets, deepening ties with foreign brokers and investors, offering more English-language content, and exploring bi-currency trading. TASE shares surged nearly 15% on the news. The exchange reported strong financials: average daily turnover rose from NIS 284 million in 2019 to NIS 5.7 billion in H1 2026. Net profit for H1 2026 was NIS 156 million, nearly double the H1 2025 figure. The TASE's share price has risen 90% in the past year and 685% over three years, reaching a market cap of NIS 13.5 billion. The plan requires shareholder approval for the CEO bonus.
