New footage released today (Friday) reveals the moments of the hit-and-run in which the late Amichai Atiya, a 17-year-old from Itamar, was killed early in the morning at the "Mole HaHof Village" complex in Hadera. The video shows a vehicle driven by an Arab resident of Kfar Manda reversing at speed towards Amichai, hitting him forcefully and continuing its movement. Amichai was critically injured and later pronounced dead. He arrived in Hadera as part of a Selichot event organized by the Olga Yeshiva in cooperation with the Hadera Municipality. The incident occurred amid a violent confrontation that developed at the complex, but the Samaria Regional Council spokesperson emphasized that Amichai was not involved in the confrontation. According to the police, simultaneously with the hit-and-run or shortly after, shots were fired at the driver, who was lightly injured. The Shin Bet ruled out suspicion of a nationalist-motivated incident. Amichai, son of Sagit and Yona Atiya, left behind five siblings, including a twin brother. Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan eulogized him.
