Suspicion of kidnapping in Tel Aviv: Bat Yam resident arrested, criminal background

Officers from the Tel Aviv Lev station arrested a Bat Yam resident in his 30s, on suspicion of involvement in a brawl, assault, and kidnapping of a person against the backdrop of a conflict between criminals in the city. The suspect's detention was extended today (Tuesday) at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court, alongside the continuation of operational and investigative activities in the case. According to a police statement, yesterday (Monday) in the afternoon hours, a report was received at the emergency center regarding a suspected assault and kidnapping of a person in the Tel Aviv area. Officers arrived at the scene immediately and began conducting urgent investigative actions, including interviewing witnesses and using advanced technological means. As a result of these actions, the person who was reportedly kidnapped was located. Later, the suspect was arrested overnight and transferred for questioning. This morning, he was brought before the city's Magistrate's Court, which extended his detention until October 2, 2026. Police noted that the background to the incident is a conflict between criminals, the investigation is ongoing, and further arrests of additional involved parties are expected.
