Former hostage Eitan Mor, who spent 738 days in Hamas captivity, shared a selfie taken by the terrorist who kidnapped him on the morning of the massacre. In the photo, Mor appears relatively calm. Mor said that despite the violence and abduction, he kept his cool thinking about the future grandchildren who would see the picture. According to him, the photo was obtained by the Shin Bet after the terrorist was eliminated. His father, Tzvi Mor, published an extensive statement on X marking one year since his son's return, describing the story as "the story of the people of Israel" and stating that "the Gaza envelope is flourishing, and Gaza is destroyed." Mor was kidnapped from the Nova party where he worked as a security guard, and acted alongside his friend Elyakim Lieberman, may his memory be blessed, to evacuate bodies under fire. In the past year, he has enlisted in Israel's hasbara efforts worldwide and told in Arabic about the atrocities he endured.
